Most recently David added to his existing qualifications by passing the pension simplification examination, CF9, and Long Term Care examination, CF8, from the CII (Chartered Insurance Institute).

The CFP Licence is a widely recognised financial planning credential which requires a combination of experience, examinations, ongoing education activity and ethical behaviour

Personal Profile:

David has nearly 30 years experience in providing financial advice and financial planning. He has wide ranging experience in financial services having worked for Nationwide Building Society as a manager and Scottish Equitable as a broker consultant. He has worked as an Independent Financial Adviser since 1988 and David Soper & Co. Ltd. was set up in January 2002 and incorporated in September 2007.

Throughout his career David has consolidated his experience by developing his expertise through taking professional qualifications and maintaining membership of recognised professional bodies.

On a personal level David is a keen runner and has completed several marathons and triathlons. He completed a half iron man which was held in Snowdonia. David received sponsorship for some of these events the proceeds of which went to a local childrens' hospice and other charities.

Jeanette Soper

Jeanette has wide ranging experience of administration, secretarial and company accounts. This experience has been developed over a number of years, starting with Rolls Royce in Scotland . She worked for a firm of transportation engineers in central London for a number of years and latterly was a Director and Company Secretary of a firm of independent shipping consultants, dealing with accounts to trial balance, arranging conferences and ensuring the smooth running of the administrative functions of the company.

Jeanette joined David when he set up David Soper & Co. Ltd. and deals with all of the administrative functions of the company. Her hobby is phoning investment company call centers in all parts of the world where she enjoys listening to the piped music sometimes for hours at a time, despite the fact that she knows clients would prefer to do this for themselves!

Jeanette Soper
