- Initial contact is usually by telephone during which your enquiry is discussed with David Soper.
- A meeting is then arranged to expand on your initial requirements and to discuss whether you wish us to work on a commission or fee basis. This meeting is usually of a general nature and aims to answer any initial queries you may have about us and for David to gain an overview of your current financial position and your requirements for the future. This meeting can also deal with compliance matters, such as providing proof of identity to comply with anti money laundering regulations.
- Following the earlier general discussion a detailed Personal Financial Planning Questionnaire is completed with information supplied by you and by David Soper & Co. Ltd. obtaining values and technical details direct from your investment providers, such as details of your existing pension arrangements or investments such as ISAs and Unit Trusts.
- If appropriate, David will liaise with your other advisers such as your accountant, solicitor, discretionary investment manager or others holding power of attorney over your affairs.
- At this stage a detailed report is issued with recommendations for your consideration.
- There is normally a further meeting during which any questions you have regarding the report are addressed and the necessary paperwork for the proposed financial plan can be completed.
- Review meetings are normally held at least annually but clients are free to contact us at any time, especially if any of their financial circumstances change.
